On Friday, August 15, Galaxy Digital <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investor.galaxy.com\/news\/news-details\/2025\/Galaxy-Closes-1-4-Billion-Project-Financing-Facility-to-Accelerate-Helios-AI-Datacenter-Development\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> that it had secured $1.4 billion in debt financing. The funds will support the development of its Helios data center campus in West Texas. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis financing marks a major milestone in our transformation of Helios into a next-generation AI and HPC datacenter campus,\u201d said Mike Novogratz, Founder and CEO of Galaxy. \u201cWe\u2019re on track and excited to deliver the first phase of power to CoreWeave beginning in early 2026. This project is a key step in diversifying Galaxy\u2019s business model as we expand beyond crypto and into the broader AI infrastructure space.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Galaxy Digital put up $350 million in equity, while the remainder of the construction cost will be covered by the debt. At full capacity after the upgrades, the Helios data center could support up to 3.5 GW of power, making it one of the largest in the world.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Galaxy plans to transform Helios into an AI hub<\/h2>\n<p>Galaxy Digital is diversifying its data center from crypto mining to AI compute infrastructure.
