Additionally, BOB raised $1.6 million earlier through an angel investor round.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe fact that we continue to attract new partners and so many of our original investors have doubled down speaks volumes to the work our team has done to define Bitcoin\u2019s central role in DeFi. This effort seeks to unlock new use cases and tap into what BOB sees as a $750 billion latent capital opportunity in Bitcoin DeFi, potentially driving 100x growth in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>BOB\u2019s hybrid chain model leverages billions of dollars in staked Bitcoin to secure all applications, assets, and transactions within its ecosystem. The platform allows users to interact with native BTC directly, eliminating the need for wrapped tokens or custodians. <\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s recent milestones include <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.gobob.xyz\/posts\/bob-bitvm-testnet-launch\" target=\"_blank\">launching a native Bitcoin DeFi testnet<\/a> supported by leading institutions like Lombard, Amber Digital, and RockawayX.
