However, ETH Strategy\u2019s unlocking period could lead to slight corrections.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- .cn-block-summary --><\/p>\n<p>The treasury protocol ETH Strategy recently completed a raise that has amounted to around $46.5 million in ETH (ETH), according to its <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/eth_strategy\/status\/1949483359740256519\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a> summary. The capital raise converted solely into ETH occurred across three categories: a private pre-sale, a public sale and a puttable warrant.<\/p>\n<p>The private pre-sale raised approximately 6,900 ETH. While the public sale amounted to 1,242 ETH. Lastly, the protocol offered investors a puttable warrant option, which resulted in 4,200 ETH in subscriptions. All three tranches come with a 4\u2011month cliff followed by a 2\u2011month linear unlock post token generation event.<\/p>\n<p>In total, the combined Ethereum accumulated from all three fundraising efforts equal to 12,342 ETH. As much as 11,817\u202fETH will be used solely for staking and protocol liquidity. Meanwhile, the other 525\u202fETH will be set aside for protocol growth, audits, contributor pay, community initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Many traders on X praised ETH Strategy for building a fully on-chain ETH treasury through the protocol rollout. The emergence of ETH Strategy\u2019s protocol could inject some confidence into Ether as a treasury asset, potentially boosting institutional demand.<\/p>\n<p>Even now, institutional demand for ETH has been on the rise. As previously reported by crypto.news, total inflows for ETH ETF have hit a monthly record high of $11.2 billion. In the past month, Ethereum has been flirting with the $4,000 threshold, which remains the long-term range cap.<\/p>\n<p>Considering $4,000 acts as ceiling for Ethereum, it remains in a stagnant state as it stays within the $3,000 mark. If it does manage to reach above $4,000, it could lead to a breakout that catapults the price even higher, potentially up to the $4,500\u2013$5,000 range.<\/p>\n<p>However, failure to break free of the $4,000 mark by the end of this week could lead to a pullback to the $2,500 support range. <\/p>\n<p>With ETH Strategy\u2019s tokens unlocking within 4 to 6 months time following the token generation event, investors may choose to hold off on ETH until distribution begins. The unlocking period could result in selling pressure due to an increase in supply. In fact, ETH Strategy\u2019s treasury model mirrors those of emerging institutional ETH treasury trend, as seen with SharpLink, BitMine, Bit Digital, and GameSquare. These corporations hold hundreds of thousands of ETH as strategic reserves.<\/p>\n<p>However, what sets ETH Strategy apart is its use of ETH for staking yields and active liquidity provision aligns with institutional preferences for yield-bearing treasury assets. Puttable warrants, for example, is a relatively novel form for ETH funds storing which gives the holder the right to sell an asset back before specified date. It offers investors an exit option that reduces holding risks and offers flexibility at the expense of the issuer.<\/p>\n<p>The liquid nature of ETH makes it an ideal candidate for what experts have dubbed \u201cdigital oil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unlike Bitcoin (BTC)\u2019s \u201cdigital gold\u201d approach, ETH is flexible and its value can be stored in many form. For instance, on July 21, GameSquare announced that it would allocate $10 million towards a novel NFT yield strategy.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are also companies that choose to hold Ether as is. One prominent player is the Tom Lee-led Bitmine, which has set a goal to accumulate $1 billion worth of ETH in seven days. As of July 30, the company holds 625,000 ETH in its reserve holdings.<\/p>\n<p>As regulatory clarity improves and ETH staking becomes recognized in corporate accounting, protocols like ETH Strategy may attract further institutional allocation, reinforcing ETH\u2019s network demand.
