It also advised users to check whether their funds or sending addresses connect to sanctioned entities before starting an exchange.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FixedFloat adds checks for Huobi-linked funds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFunds originating from Huobi will be suspended by our service and will be subject to additional verification,\u201d FixedFloat said. The company did not state how long reviews may take or how far back it will trace transfers.<\/p>\n<p>OrangeFren warned users to take care when handling coins that had previously passed through Huobi or HTX. The official notice lists \u201cHTX,\u201d \u201cHTX Exchange\u201d and htx.com as details connected to the designated company.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation later said it considers the HTX cryptocurrency exchange subject to the measures because Huobi owns it. For UK firms, the rules include asset freezes and restrictions on processing payments involving a designated party.<\/p>\n<p>HTX disputes that position. As previously reported by crypto.news, the exchange said Huobi Global S.A. is separate from its operating platform. It also said user funds remained unaffected and planned to engage with UK authorities.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ZachXBT questions broad wallet tainting<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Blockchain investigator ZachXBT <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/zachxbt\/status\/2063933891782799397?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">called<\/a> the UK action \u201ca bit of an overreach.\u201d He said HTX serves many retail users in Asia, which could cause compliance systems to label unrelated wallets as risky.<\/p>\n<p>He added that \u201crisk itself has become meaningless\u201d when tracing cases by sanctions exposure. HTX has rejected the link between the sanctioned company and its exchange operations.<\/p>\n<p>FixedFloat\u2019s policy shows how one government\u2019s sanctions decision can shape screening outside banking. Users sending funds with a Huobi or HTX history may now face checks without being accused of wrongdoing.
