The firm aims to remain focused on investment services linked to long-term financial planning.<\/p>\n<p>Wurster said prediction products outside that scope would not be pursued. He added that \u201cpeople generally lose money\u201d in gambling-style markets, which supports the firm\u2019s approach of limiting exposure to speculative areas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Citadel Securities has also expressed interest in the development of prediction markets. President Jim Esposito <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=B2JwhBlNzso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> the company is \u201cabsolutely keeping an eye on developments,\u201d while noting that activity levels are still limited.<\/p>\n<p>Esposito added that it is \u201ccertainly possible\u201d Citadel could take part in the future. However, he said the firm is \u201cnot there yet\u201d due to low liquidity in current platforms, suggesting that broader participation depends on market growth.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Event Contracts Viewed as Potential Tool<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Citadel has shown more interest in event-based contracts linked to financial risks rather than entertainment or sports outcomes. The firm sees possible use in areas such as election-related contracts that may affect market behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Esposito said such contracts could offer a \u201cclean and distinct way\u201d for investors to manage risk.
