DeFi analyst Ignas called the move \u201coh wow. smells bullish to me,\u201d while trader 623.hl summarized the ambition in four words: \u201cHouse all of Finance Hyperliquid.\u201d Another commentator, Kosta Wizard, was blunter: \u201cHyperliquid really about to kill polymarket and kalshi and I\u2019m all here for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hype-price-rich-derivatives-premium\">HYPE Price: Rich Derivatives Premium<\/h2>\n<p>HYPE trades around $32\u2013$33 today, with CoinMarketCap showing $32.71 and roughly $860.3 million in 24\u2011hour volume. Over the past day the token is modestly higher, with TradingView data indicating a roughly flat to slightly positive 24\u2011hour move but a 24.16% gain over the last week. On a 30\u2011day basis, HYPE is up about 2.98%, while the one\u2011year change is a steep 304.26% advance, reflecting its rise from the low\u2011$20s to the low\u2011$30s.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Hyperliquid price chart. CryptoRank and CoinLore data put the all\u2011time high near $59.26\u2013$59.33 in mid\u2011September 2025, leaving HYPE trading about 37\u201348% under its record. That gap is crucial: even after a 300%\u2011plus 12\u2011month return, bulls have not been able to reclaim prior extremes, suggesting supply continues to hit the market on every push into the $40\u2013$50 band.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quantitative-read-on-hip4-and-hype\">Quantitative Read on HIP\u20114 and HYPE<\/h2>\n<p>From a numbers perspective, HYPE\u2019s current 24\u2011hour volume of around $860 million against a spot price near $32.7 implies more than 26 million tokens turning over in a day, a high\u2011velocity tape consistent with speculative, derivatives\u2011driven flow. If we assume a fully diluted valuation near $10 billion, as one trader framed it (\u201c$10b fdv for a protocol targeting trillions in addressable markets\u201d), HYPE is effectively valued at roughly 0.5\u20131.0% of the \u201ctrillions\u201d in notional outcome and perp markets it hopes to intermediate.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<p>Yet the price path shows diminishing upside. A move from roughly $7.56 at first listing to $59.33 at the 2025 high was a 685% gain; the subsequent drop into the mid\u2011$20s erased more than half that advance, and the rebound into the low\u2011$30s recovers only about a quarter of the peak\u2011to\u2011trough damage. On a simple mean\u2011reversion basis, the midpoint between $59.3 (ATH) and $20.5 (recent annual low) sits near $39.9, roughly 22% above today\u2019s level; that is a plausible medium\u2011term \u201cfair value\u201d range if volumes stay elevated and HIP\u20114 ships to mainnet without major issues.<\/p>\n<p>However, to revisit the all\u2011time high, HYPE would need an 80\u201385% rally from current prices, compared with only a 30\u201335% downside back to the $20\u2013$25 band that capped earlier cycles. The asymmetry is unfavorable: upside requires both sustained fee growth from new outcome markets and continued risk\u2011on sentiment, while downside can be triggered by any slowdown in trading or regulatory pressure on prediction markets.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"price-prediction-intent-vs-gravity\">Price Prediction: Intent vs. Gravity<\/h2>\n<p>In the near term (1\u20133 months), HIP\u20114 hype and testnet traction could justify a grind toward the mid\u2011$30s to high\u2011$30s, roughly aligning with that $39\u2013$40 mean\u2011reversion band, implying 15\u201325% upside from here if volumes hold near the current $800\u2013$900 million daily run\u2011rate.
