In a post shared Thursday on X, Buterin stated that Ethereum became faster, more reliable, and better able to scale while maintaining its decentralized foundations during the past year, according to the message. The improvements reduced bottlenecks, increased capacity, and simplified operation of the network\u2019s underlying software, he said.<\/p>\n

Buterin characterized 2025 as a year in which Ethereum\u2019s core infrastructure matured. He stated that work focused on improving performance, stability, and usability was critical to preparing the network for long-term growth, according to the post. He stated that such applications should be capable of operating without fraud, censorship, or third-party control, even if their original developers disappear.
