{"id":1754,"date":"2025-06-02T16:55:24","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T16:55:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bitunikey.com\/news\/crypto-broker-falconx-aquires-majority-stake-in-monarq-asset-management\/"},"modified":"2025-06-02T16:55:25","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T16:55:25","slug":"crypto-broker-falconx-aquires-majority-stake-in-monarq-asset-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitunikey.com\/news\/crypto-broker-falconx-aquires-majority-stake-in-monarq-asset-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Crypto broker FalconX aquires majority stake in Monarq Asset Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-detail__content blocks\">\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">FalconX has taken a majority stake in the parent company of Monarq Asset Management, a multistrategy crypto hedge fund, marking a significant move into asset management for the digital asset prime broker.<\/p>\n<p>The deal, whose terms were not disclosed, is part of FalconX\u2019s broader strategy to expand beyond its current client base, which includes hedge funds, trading firms, and asset managers, according to Bloomberg <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-06-02\/crypto-prime-broker-falconx-takes-majority-stake-in-hedge-fund-monarq\" target=\"_blank\">reporting<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>FalconX, which offers trading, credit, and custody services, now aims to serve endowments, pensions, and family offices seeking crypto-focused investment solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Monarq, formerly known as MNNC Group, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/monarqgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">is registered <\/a>in the Cayman Islands and was launched by the team behind LedgerPrime.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CEO Shiliang Tang, a former Wall Street volatility trader, stated that the FalconX partnership will help scale Monarq\u2019s quantitative strategies and expand its institutional reach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Monarq currently manages several hundred million dollars using delta-neutral and directional strategies across centralized and decentralized platforms.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FalconX\u2019s acquisition push\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>This acquisition comes as FalconX accelerates its push into asset management amid anticipated consolidation in the digital assets space. In January, FalconX <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/falconx-expands-global-derivatives-footprint-with-acquisition-of-arbelos-markets-302341536.html\" target=\"_blank\">also acquired<\/a> derivatives firm Arbelos Markets, co-founded by Tang.
