Buterin emphasized the importance of \u201cscaling safely,\u201d highlighting the need to balance scalability improvements with preserving decentralization. <\/p>\n<p>Buterin added that following the scaling upgrade there will be a pause period to assess the network before proceeding to its next subsequent upgrade. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt that point, it will be a good time to take a breather and have a period to verify that we are actually doing okay on decentralization properties,\u201d he noted, adding that the pause will also give developers time to tie up loose ends and refine key improvements.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<p>Buterin\u2019s statements come in response to the recent questions about the sustainability of the Ethereum network across the industry. <\/p>\n<p>In a seperate conversation with cLabs CTO &amp; co-founder Marek Olszewski, the Ethereum co-founder added that the incoming solutions will ensure improvements to the broader ecosystem. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIncreasing block sizes on Layer 1 creates more space and makes it easier for Layer 2 solutions to operate securely and efficiently,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum\u2019s native token (ETH) has seen minimal price movement over the past 24 hours, posting a minor 0.03% gain to trade slightly above $2,500.
