The statement cited \u201cconcerning activity\u201d in one of Mallers\u2019 accounts. These types of transactions are a risk for the bank under the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jackmallers\/status\/1992623545571279219\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">According<\/a> to Mallers, bank representatives stated they were not allowed to provide him with more information. What is more, he highlighted their hypocrisy from the bank that offered its services, and even special treatment, to notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care what Epstein\u2019s banker thinks about Bitcoin being used for bad things,\u201d Mallers said in an X post.  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Did JPMorgan debank over Epstein ties? <\/h2>\n<p>Mallers also cited a recent report by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RonWyden\/status\/1991527268251046315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">highlighting<\/a> Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s ties to the bank. The report alleges that the top JPMorgan Chase executives enabled Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking operation and were in constant contact with the disgraced billionaire. One executive even instructed Epstein on how to sanitize his large cash withdrawals. <\/p>\n<p>Still, for most other customers, those without privileged access, debanking remains an ongoing concern. Under the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970, banks remain liable for illicit transactions that happen under their watch. This is despite the recent executive order by President Donald Trump that launched an inquiry into the issue.
