In late 2020, the SEC filed a lawsuit alleging Ripple Labs had sold XRP as an unregistered security since 2013. The action resulted in delistings from major exchanges and significant market value declines.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple settled the case in August 2025 by paying a monetary settlement without admitting wrongdoing, according to court filings.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<p>Roger Bayston, head of digital assets at Franklin Templeton, said the fund provides \u201cregulated custody, daily transparency and liquidity without the operational complexity of holding the token directly,\u201d according to a company statement.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin Templeton\u2019s product launched the same day as Grayscale\u2019s XRP ETF.
