It hit a six-month low over the weekend as liquidity thinned across global markets. <\/p>\n<p>The coin dropped to the 92,970 range on Sunday and has since hovered around 94,900 at last check on Nov. 17.<\/p>\n<div id=\"cn-block-summary-block_f10591273f7c655367403dcd98aac476\" class=\"cn-block-summary\">\n<div class=\"cn-block-summary__nav tabs\">\n        <span class=\"tabs__item is-selected\">Summary<\/span>\n    <\/div>\n<div class=\"cn-block-summary__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana have all fallen sharply since Q4 began, with BTC down over 10% and ETH over 11%, defying typical seasonal gains.<\/li>\n<li>Crypto boosters forecasted massive rallies, but the market moved in the opposite direction.<\/li>\n<li>Risk-off sentiment, slowing institutional inflows, regulatory pressure, and macro uncertainty have cooled what many expected to be a broad-based year-end crypto rally.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- .cn-block-summary --><\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin (BTC) has averaged 77% gains in the past fourth quarters, while Ethereum (ETH) typically climbs about 19%. <\/p>\n<p>Since last week, Bitcoin has been down over 10%, while Ethereum has been down over 11%. <\/p>\n<p>And Solana (SOL) is down over 24% since Q4 began and over 16% over the past seven days. <\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A chorus of confident predictions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The downturn is especially striking given the number of prominent figures across finance and crypto that hyped up crypto heading into Q4. American Bitcoin Corp. co-founder Eric Trump declared Q4 would be \u201cunbelievable.\u201d He was <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/crypto\/cryptocurrency\/25\/11\/48891178\/eric-trump-predicted-q4-will-be-unbelievable-for-crypto-heres-how-its-going\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">wrong<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Analysts at JPMorgan and Citi also <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/jpmorgan-citi-bitcoin-q4-boom-btc-price-targets?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">forecast<\/a> a powerful year-end rally driven by ETF inflows, with Bitcoin targets ranging from $133,000 to $165,000. Asset manager VanEck went further, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ethnews.com\/vanecks-bold-prediction-bitcoin-at-180k-ethereum-at-6k-solana-at-500-by-q4-2025\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">projecting<\/a> Bitcoin at $180,000 by year-end 2025, alongside major surges in Ethereum and Solana. <\/p>\n<p>Influential voices in the crypto community chimed in too: market analyst Ted Pillows <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ainvest.com\/news\/bitcoin-news-today-bitcoin-price-projected-surge-35-q4-2025-etf-inflows-gold-market-parallels-drive-bullish-outlook-2507\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">expected<\/a> a 35% rally, commentator Scott Melker <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/CryptoCurrency\/comments\/1koysn6\/bitcoin_to_250k_in_2025_totally_possible_crypto\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">floated<\/a> a path to $250,000, and X personality Ash Crypto <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bravenewcoin.com\/insights\/bitcoin-btc-price-prediction-bitcoin-builds-momentum-toward-120k-as-gold-falls-and-liquidity-boost-nears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">predicted<\/a> Bitcoin would race to $150,000\u2013$180,000. <\/p>\n<p>Instead, the quarter has delivered the opposite \u2014 a slump driven by risk-off sentiment, slowing institutional inflows, and renewed regulatory pressure that has cooled what many expected to be a broad-based rally. <\/p>\n<p>Far from confirming the bulls\u2019 projections, Q4 has reminded investors that crypto\u2019s seasonal patterns are anything but guaranteed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>So what happened to crypto\u2019s historically strong finish?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<p>A mix of macro uncertainty, AI-driven capital rotation, and overextended expectations.
