Co-founder John Collison <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-05-30\/payment-firm-stripe-in-early-talks-with-banks-about-stablecoins\" target=\"_blank\">told Bloomberg<\/a> that banks are taking stablecoins seriously and are exploring ways to incorporate them into their services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>About $243 billion in stablecoins are <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.galaxy.com\/insights\/research\/genius-act-stablecoin-regulation\/#:~:text=At%20the%20time%20of%20writing,than%20120m%20transactions%20every%20month.\" target=\"_blank\">currently in circulation<\/a>, with growing interest in using them for real-world payments.<\/p>\n<p>Collison emphasized that stablecoins could eliminate costly and slow cross-border fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of our future payment volume is going to be in stablecoins,\u201d he said, adding that Stripe views them as a central part of its business moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stripe\u2019s stablecoin ventures<\/h2>\n<p>Stripe recently acquired stablecoin platform Bridge for $1.1 billion.
