GTreasury adds to the company\u2019s eye-catching deals for prime brokerage Hidden Road and stablecoin firm Rail, and will be crucial to opening up traction across the corporate treasury market.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cFor too long, money has been stuck in slow, outdated payments systems and infrastructure, causing unnecessary delays, high costs, and roadblocks to entering new markets \u2014 problems that blockchain technologies are ideally suited to solve,\u201d said Brad Garlinghouse, chief executive officer of Ripple.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is this big for Ripple?<\/h2>\n<p>Tapping into GTreasury\u2019s capabilities will help treasury and finance platforms benefit from systems that offer an avenue to put idle capital to work. Instant payments and new growth opportunities are also available under this deal, Garlinghouse added.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can unlock trapped capital via Hidden Road, as well as move money instantly across borders and at competitive rates. GTreasury, based in Chicago, serves customers across 160 countries.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have focused on providing the most compliant and feature-rich solutions to corporations around the globe,\u201d said GTreasury CEO Renaat Ver Eecke. \u201cBy joining Ripple, we are accelerating our vision from managing capital to activating it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>GTreasury\u2019s features, including cash forecasting, risk management, and compliance, combined with Ripple\u2019s on-chain benefits, will allow treasurers to manage liquidity, payments, and risk.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple expects to close the $1 billion deal in the coming months, subject to regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ripple has acquired GTreasury, a leading treasury management platform, in a deal worth $1 billion.
