According to a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.shib.io\/plasma-bone-bridge-is-back-stronger-and-more-secure-than-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">blog post<\/a>, the update includes blacklisting functionality designed to bolster ecosystem security.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to share that the Plasma Bridge is back online for BONE, following a comprehensive review and a series of security enhancements. Users can once again bridge BONE between Ethereum and Shibarium with a safer, stronger, and more resilient experience,\u201d the Shib team wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>    <!-- .cn-block-related-link --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s new for the Shibarium bridge?<\/h2>\n<p>According to the announcement, the reactivated platform taps into a \u201cproactive blacklisting system that lets us flag and block suspicious addresses at the bridge layer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The blacklisting functionality will help prevent potential future attacks and will address risks of abuse across the ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Shibarium has also added a 7-day withdrawal delay for all BONE Plasma withdrawals. The finalization delay offers a buffer to operators and security teams, with the delay giving them time to monitor and respond to suspicious activity. The move adds a layer of defense without impacting user access.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPlasma\u2019s strength is fraud\u2011resistance. The delay reinforces that property and provides a practical response window if anomalies are detected,\u201d the platform noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shibarium hack <\/h2>\n<p>The Shiba Inu (SHIB) community saw an attacker access 4.6 million BONE tokens after a major hack of the Shibaswap that targeted the Shibarium Bridge.
