On Thursday, Sept. 25, Centrifuge announced the launch of the Janus Henderson Anemoy S&amp;P 500 Fund (SPXA). The fund is the first S&amp;P 500 index fund licensed by S&amp;P Dow Jones Indices, a leading index provider.<\/p>\n<p>The move represents a significant milestone for real-world assets in crypto. The SPXA fund will provide exposure to the S&amp;P 500 index in on-chain finance, DeFi platforms, and DAOs. Traders will have access to transparent holdings, programmability, and composability across DeFi protocols.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe benchmarks of traditional finance still shape the global economy, and there\u2019s no index more important than the S&amp;P 500,\u201d said Bhaji Illuminati, CEO of Centrifuge. \u201cIndices are the best way to bring stocks on-chain: they\u2019re simple, collateral-ready, and unlock liquidity in ways individual securities can\u2019t.
