Solana co-founder Raj Gokal\u2019s personal information was leaked on a series of Instagram posts uploaded on U.S. hip-hop group Migos\u2019 Instagram page in an apparent hack.<\/p>\n
On May 27, an Instagram account belonging to American rap trio, Migos, was reportedly compromised by hackers who gained access to Gokal\u2019s personal information and used it to dox him and his wife. The now-deleted Instagram posts featured pictures of the Solana (SOL) Labs President holding his driver\u2019s license and passport, both unredacted. <\/p>\n
Another post featured a woman, claimed by the hackers to be Gokal\u2019s wife, holding her driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
The seven pictures were shared to the 13 million followers on Migos\u2019 Instagram account. One of the posts shared Gokal\u2019s personal contact information, including his phone number. The poster then urged people to \u201cspam\u201d the Solana co-founder, effectively doxxing him.<\/p>\n
A caption written on the post that showed Gokal holding his driver\u2019s license seemingly implied that he was initially blackmailed before his personal information was leaked on social media. Tagging Gokal\u2019s Instagram account, the hacker wrote: \u201cyou should\u2019ve paid the 40 BTC.\u201d At current prices, 40 Bitcoin (BTC) would be equal to around $4.3 million.<\/p>\n

Just a week prior, Gokal had warned followers of his X account that attackers were attempting to hack into his email and various social media accounts. He reminded them to stay vigilant and not to trust any suspicious posts on his social media.<\/p>\n
\u201cAttackers have been trying to take control of my email, social media, Google, Apple, etc. this past week. If you see anything suspect (token launch, soliciting funds, etc) that means they got through,\u201d wrote Gokal in his post<\/a>.<\/p>\n
